Arriving at our farm in June of 2019, Milkdud was our first non-equine resident. Surprising us all with his extroverted nature and incessant need for human attention, we are happy to announce that he is fitting in incredibly well.
Milkdud was raised by our Spring 2019 intern and was a personal favorite of all her bovine companions. Sadly, because of the lack of need for bulls and steers within the dairy industry, Milkdud was slated to be shipped away for slaughter upon our intern's entry into her higher education. No one wanted that to happen. The barn manager, Kathy, was casually talking with our intern when the subject came up. Immediately, we knew what we had to do.
Now Milkdud is living the good life, pampered among the horses on the property. He is still figuring out the social ropes of equine society, but loves to play with people and dogs.
